Accessibility and Inclusion

RED Academy of Soccer follows Canada Soccers guide toAccessibility and Inclusion.

Long Term Player Development Philosophy

RED Academy of Soccer uses a player-centric developmental philosophy in line with the Canadian Soccer Association’s recommended Long Term Player Development (LTPD) model.  A person's abilities, behaviours and emotions, as well as their understanding of the world around them, varies from stage to stage.  When young soccer players are able to train and compete in an environment that's appropriate to their stage of development, they not only perform at their best, they also have more fun.

RED follows the recommendations of Ontario Soccer Grassroots Standards for Development:

  • No scores, no standings
  • Small sided, age appropriate field sizes for games (5v5, 7v7, 9v9)
  • Small roster sizes
  • 1:1 or 2:1 practice to game ratios
  • Age appropriate sized equipment (balls, nets)
  • Fair play in all positions

LTPD is inclusive and is designed to give players an optimal soccer experience at every stage by putting their needs front and centre.

Implementation of the LTPD philosophy is the responsibility of the Head Coach, Program Directors, Team Personnel, and Parents.

Financial Assistance

RED Academy of Soccer stand behind the belief that ‘Every Kid Plays’, and provides measures to ensure finances are not a barrier for athletes to play soccer in our Club. If you require financial assistance, please reach out to Stuart  so we can work together to ensure your child can play.

Families with 2+ children registered with RED Academy automatically qualify for a 15% reduction in fees for each child.

External options for fee assistance include:
